Racism in the Queer Community: An Open Forum Talk!

  • Murmur 100 Broad Street Southwest Atlanta, GA, 30303 United States (map)

What does safety for QTPoC in the community look like? What does the term "safe space" mean? What separates inclusion from tokenization? There are a lot of questions, and less answers, when it comes to existing as a person of color in the larger queer community.

Join us for Racism in the Queer Community, an open forum talk, on Thursday, Oct 13th at the Murmur from 6 PM to 9 PM. The discussion itself will start at 6:30 PM. This is a guided discussion, but the voices heard are yours. This event aims to let QTPoC define what is safe for them, what is/isn't racism, and what white queers can do to do better.

Refreshments will be served.

Parking can be found along MLK Jr Drive, Mitchell and South Broad Streets, and in closeby lots and garages. The Five Points MARTA Station is two blocks north.
