SFQP 2018 Announcement Flyer.jpg

We are happy to announce submissions to the Southern Fried Queer Pride Festival 2018! In our fourth year of our Atlanta festival, we want to make a statement - that Southern queer art and community is here to stay despite the forces that aim to push us out: gentrification, political apathy, and community fatigue. This year's festival takes place Wednesday, June 20th thru Sunday, June 24th at The Bakery in the West End. It's 5 DAYS stuffed with deep fried events, ranging from workshops to dance parties, to thrift shops and the return of our film fest, Cinequeer! Check out how to get involved and submit via the links below.

SFQP is a grassroots, homegrown organization that thrives on the support of our community. Want to be a sponsor for this year's festival? Want to donate resources to make this all happen? Look no further. Please follow this link to get more information!

Volunteers make this festival happen! Duties include helping run events, tabling, cleanup/setup, and more. Plus, you get free merch for donating your time! Sign up to be a volunteer here.

Each year we organize Dirty Work, a block of workshops that often center conversations and topics that don't get the spotlight. Have an idea for a workshop? Submit your workshop idea here.

SFQP creates spaces for performers of all genres and expressions from the South to show their art! This year we want a wide variety of performers from the entire region. Are you a musician? A comedian? Do spoken word? Do drag? Balance ceramic plates while reciting queer erotica? We want YOU! Submit to become a performer here.

We want to provide spaces for artists to showcase and sell their work. Are you someone who makes artistic products or services? Then this is the space for you! Sign-up to table at our artist market here.

submit to cinequeer, our film festival!

In 2016 we put on Cinequeer, the official SFQP film fest. After a recess, it's back! Cinequeer is a space for artists in video and film to showcase their work no matter the genre, style, or aesthetic. Submit your work to Cinequeer here.
