Cinequeer Film Night: KIKI!

  • Metropolitan Branch Library 1332 Metropolitan Parkway Southwest Atlanta, GA, 30310 United States (map)

Southern Fried Queer Pride & Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System are excited to bring you Cinequeer Film Nights - spotlighting films created by and/or centering queer and trans people of color. This month, we bring you KIKI - a film by Sara Jordenö and Twiggy Pucci Garcon!

SYNOPSIS: KIKI follows seven characters from the Kiki community over the course of four years, using their preparations and spectacular performances at events known as Kiki balls as a framing device while delving into their battles with homelessness, illness and prejudice as well as their gains towards political influence and the conquering of affirming gender-expressions. Twiggy and Sara’s insider-outsider approach to their stories breathes fresh life into the representation of a marginalized community who demand visibility and real political power. For more info on KIKI, visit:

Doors for the event open at 6:30PM on Thursday, April 26th. The film will begin screening at 7PM. This event is all ages and free to the public. This facility is fully ADA accessible. The film also has English captions. For accessibility questions and requests, email:
