SFQP Marches in the 2019 Stonewall March & Rally!

  • North Avenue MARTA Station (map)

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, a historical event that galvanized the queer liberation movement and changed LGBTQ history forever, as well as the founding of the Georgia Gay Liberation Front. Southern Fried Queer Pride will be marching in the 2019 Stonewall March! We encourage all to come and march with us!

The march happens Sunday, June 30th. Line-up for the march will start at 12PM at the North Avenue MARTA Station (713 Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308). Step-off will happen at 1PM. The march will take Peachtree Street northwards, then make a right onto 10th Street, Left onto Piedmont Ave, and will enter Piedmont Park through the 12th street gate. Following the march, there will be a rally featuring speakers from the community at large.

Southern Fried Queer Pride is a queer and trans, arts & advocacy organization and festival based in Atlanta, GA. Built on the backbones of the Stonewall Riots, MondoHomo, queer liberation, and the radical celebration of Southern queers, SFQP offers a platform for community artists, activists, and anyone and everyone to hold space!
