In honor Atlanta Black Pride weekend, Southern Fried Queer Pride & the Auburn Avenue Research Library on African American Culture... are proud to present the For The Culture! Black Queer Film + Panel Series! From Thursday, Aug 29th thru Saturday, Aug 31st, from 6:30PM to 9PM on each day, come out to see films by/centering Black queer folks, followed by panels discussing the films and more.


Thursday, Aug 29th: Brother To Brother, followed by a panel centering Black queer men.


Friday, Aug 30th: Pariah, followed by a panel centering Black queer women.


Saturday, Aug 21st: KiKi, followed by a panel centering Black queer culture and it's appropriation.


Films will begin at 6:30PM each day. Panels will directly follow each film.

This event series is open to the public.

The Auburn Ave Research Library is fully ADA accessible.

Parking can be found on the street as well as in the library lot.

Peachtree Center, Georgia State, and Five Points MARTA Stations are close by.


Southern Fried Queer Pride is a QTPoC-led queer and trans, arts & advocacy organization and festival based in Atlanta, GA. Built on the backbones of the Stonewall Riots, MondoHomo, queer liberation, and the radical celebration of Southern queers, SFQP offers a platform for community artists, activists, and anyone and everyone to hold space!
