SFQP Artist Talk with Talecia Tucker

  • MINT 680 Murphy Ave SW Suite 2095 Atlanta United States (map)

Southern Fried Queer Pride/SFQP Artist Talks are a series of talks and workshops featuring local Atlanta artists sharing their work, experiences, and insight!

GET TO KNOW: Art of Talecia Ari Major
About her work: "In addition to running my clothing company, I’m a fine art photographer. I was introduced to the medium because I grew tired of waiting for photographers to send images of my clothing. My mom gave me an Olympus point and shoot camera she found in a thrift store with several rolls of expired film. I started doing my own photo shoots, and that sparked my interest in portraiture. This year has been a tremendous year for growth not only as a designer but also as an artist. I showed work at Facet Gallery, Wish Gallery, and I was chosen to be a part of WonderRoot’s Hughley Artist Fellowship. I’m excited to see what the future has in store and how my designs will influence my art and vice versa."

Talecia will be discussing her work, and her experience as a working professional.

The talk happens at 7PM on Thursday, Sept 12th at the MINT (680 Murphy Ave SW Suite 2095 Atlanta, GA 30310).
